Inspiring Visit of Commanding Officer, 2(A) CTR NCC Unit to MVGR College on 5th dec 2025

MVGR College of Engineering had the honour of hosting the Commanding Officer of 2(A) CTR NCC Unit, Sri U. Karthik Sir, on 05 December 2005. The visit proved to be highly informative, motivating, and impactful for both students and faculty members.

The session was graced by the esteemed presence of the Principal, Prof. Y. M. C. Sekhar garu; Provost, Prof. R. Ramesh garu along with NCC Coordinator Prof. Sobha Rani garu, and NCC ANOs Sri. N. Mehar Vasu (SD) and Smt. L. Sowmya (SW). Their presence added great significance to the programme and reflected the strong institutional support for NCC activities.

The programme commenced with an insightful and thought-provoking session on SEA (Sexual Exploitation and Abuse). Sri U. Karthik garu sensitized the students on ethical conduct, discipline, and social responsibility, emphasizing the importance of integrity and awareness in today’s society. The session created a strong impact on young minds and encouraged them to uphold moral values and responsible behavior.

This was followed by an enlightening talk on career opportunities in the United Nations. Sir shared his valuable personal experience of serving as a member of the United Nations for three years, which greatly inspired the students. He elaborated on various roles, responsibilities, and the global exposure that the United Nations offers to aspiring professionals.

He also guided the students in detail on how to join the United Nations by explaining the eligibility criteria, preparation strategies, competitive examinations, and different career pathways. The interactive session lasted for nearly one and a half hours and included an engaging question-and-answer segment, during which students actively participated and clarified their doubts.

The programme concluded with a felicitation ceremony in which the Commanding Officer, Sri U. Karthik garu, was honoured with a garland as a token of respect and gratitude for his valuable guidance and dedicated service.
