MVGR College of Engineering Celebrates 76th Republic Day with Patriotic Fervor

Vizianagaram: The NSS and NCC units of MVGR College of Engineering (A) proudly celebrated the 76th Republic Day, fostering a spirit of nationalism and patriotism among students and faculty.

The event commenced with a formal NCC parade, setting a disciplined and energetic tone for the day. This was followed by the flag hoisting ceremony led by Prof. P. S. Sitharama Raju, Director of MVGR College of Engineering.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Sitharama Raju highlighted the significance of the Indian Constitution and urged students to embrace their responsibilities as citizens of the nation. His inspiring words underscored the values enshrined in the Constitution and the role of youth in nation-building.

As part of the celebrations, Prof. Sitharama Raju, along with Prof. R. Ramesh, Principal of MVGR College of Engineering, distributed prizes to outstanding NSS and FYFP volunteers, acknowledging their contributions to social service initiatives.

In collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, the NSS unit organized various competitions, including essay writing, poster presentation, and short film-making. The winners were felicitated during the event, showcasing the creative and intellectual talents of the students.

The event was meticulously coordinated by Prof. D. Ramadevi, Coordinator of Student Extension Activities, along with Prof. M. Anil Prakash, Coordinator of NCC & CLAD, and Mr. N. Shanmukha Rao, Coordinator of NSS & FYFP.

The celebrations saw enthusiastic participation from senior faculty members and students, making it a memorable and meaningful tribute to the nation's democratic values.
