Guest Lecture on Lifestyle Management Held to Promote Staff Well-Being and Professional Development

Vizianagaram, Dec 28, 2024: A guest lecture on "Lifestyle Management" was organized at the Library Auditorium to enhance staff well-being and professional development. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Mouleeswara Kumar Tamma, Associate Professor in the Department of General Medicine and Deputy Medical Superintendent at MIMS College, Vizianagaram.

The session, attended by deans, heads of departments, and almost all faculty members, was a comprehensive guide to lifestyle management. Dr. Mouleeswara covered critical topics such as managing a sedentary lifestyle, incorporating physical activity, dietary recommendations, need to quit habits like smoking and alcohol use, sleep hygiene, stress management, time management, and the importance of social health and interactions.

The interactive session also included a Q&A segment where Dr. Mouleeswara addressed the attendees' concerns, making the lecture highly engaging and beneficial. Participants appreciated the actionable advice and insights into adopting healthier lifestyles.

This lecture was conducted as part of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed earlier in August 2024 between MANSAS Educational Institutions (MEI) and Maharaja's Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS). The MOU established a collaborative framework between the two institutions, focusing on academic and research collaborations, student exchange programs, professional development initiatives, and resource sharing. The agreement, valid for five years, also outlines the management and ownership of intellectual property resulting from joint efforts.

During the event, Prof. YMC Shekhar, Vice Principal, presented Dr. Mouleeswara with a bouquet and a copy of the recently launched book, The Last Maharaja of Vizianagaram, chronicling the life of Dr. PVG Raju.

The session was lauded as a significant step in fostering collaboration between MEI and MIMS and highlighted the institutions' commitment to enhancing the professional growth and holistic well-being of their staff.
