ACTIVITIES DURING ONE WEEK NSS SPECIAL CAMP
NSS UNIT, MVGR is conducting One Week Special Camp from 7th March 2022 to 13th March 2022 in Venkannapeta and Chitti Gunkalam villages. As a part of it, Free Medical Camp in association with MIMS, Vizianagaram organized to educate the villagers on health care and distribute the medicines they needed. Also 10 people underwent eye surgeries. About 150 patients took advantage of this opportunity in the program.
On Third Day raised awareness about mosquito-borne diseases such as dengue, malaria, typhoid fever and diarrhea caused by drinking contaminated water.
On the fourth day, as a part of promoting the Fit India Movement, games and sports were organized among the school children and the villagers and made to understand the importance of physical fitness and the sportsmanship. Winners were presented with prizes.
On the fifth day, NSS volunteers conducted an awareness program for school children on painting, computer skills and the need for education for girls. As part of awareness on Plantation, volunteers planted seedlings on the school campus.
On the sixth day, books on youth empowerment and various employment and job opportunities were provided to the village youth for various competitive examinations. Youth were also trained to educate farmers in their village on organic farming and products.
