MVGRCE Conducts FDP on Outcome-Based Education Awareness – Phase I

Under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), MVGR College of Engineering (Autonomous) successfully organized a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Awareness Program – Phase I” from 8th December to 16th December. The program was conducted for faculty members from all departments, including DE, IT, CSE, ECE, ME, CIVIL , EEE, CHEM and S&H

The FDP was led by Dr. T. Pavan Kumar, Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, who served as the resource person for the program. The sessions were thoughtfully designed to enhance faculty understanding of Outcome-Based Education frameworks, focusing on the principles, implementation strategies, and best practices essential for effective academic delivery.

Throughout the program, participants were guided on key aspects such as defining and aligning Course Outcomes (COs), Program Outcomes (POs), and Program Educational Objectives (PEOs), assessment methodologies, attainment calculations, and the role of OBE in continuous quality improvement (CQI). The interactive sessions enabled faculty members to gain practical insights into aligning curriculum design, teaching–learning processes, and evaluation methods with desired learning outcomes.

The FDP witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty across disciplines, fostering meaningful discussions and collaborative learning. The program played a vital role in strengthening institutional practices related to academic quality assurance, accreditation readiness, and outcome-oriented teaching.

This initiative reaffirms MVGR College of Engineering’s commitment to academic excellence, quality assurance, and effective teaching–learning processes, in alignment with national and global standards in higher education.
