28th Annual Day Celebrations at MVGR College of Engineering

MVGR College of Engineering (Autonomous) celebrated its 28th Annual Day with great enthusiasm and grandeur on March 14, 2026. The event witnessed the presence of distinguished dignitaries, faculty members, students, and parents, making it a memorable occasion.

The program was graced by Shri Y. Ravi Sankar Reddy, IPS, Commandant, 5th Battalion, APSP, Vizianagaram, as the Chief Guest, and Smt. P. Aditi Vijayalakshmi Gajapathi Raju, MLA, Vizianagaram, as the Guest of Honor.

On this occasion, Dr. Y. M. C. Sekhar, Principal of MVGR College of Engineering, presented the Annual Report for the academic year 2025–26, highlighting key achievements such as infrastructural developments, faculty development initiatives, and outstanding student accomplishments across academics, sports, and co-curricular activities.

Addressing the gathering, Shri P. S. Sitharama Raju, Director, MVGR, emphasized the rapidly evolving global landscape and the uncertainties associated with it. He encouraged students to stay confident and proactive, noting that the institution is continuously adapting its curriculum and skill training programs to meet current industry and market demands.

The Guest of Honor, Smt. P. Aditi Vijayalakshmi Gajapathi Raju, expressed her happiness in witnessing a significant number of girl students receiving academic excellence awards and excelling in sports, NCC, and NSS activities. She highlighted the Andhra Pradesh Government’s commitment to the development of Uttarandhra, focusing on job creation and entrepreneurial opportunities. She urged students to equip themselves with global competencies and seize emerging opportunities.

In his address, the Chief Guest, Shri Y. Ravi Sankar Reddy, IPS, appreciated the rich legacy and societal contributions of Sri P. V. G. Raju and his family. He congratulated Smt. Aditi Gajapathi Raju for carrying forward this legacy. He advised students to adapt to technological advancements, effectively manage time, and continuously upgrade their skills. He emphasized that real competition begins after graduation and encouraged students to take calculated risks and remain resilient.

During the ceremony, meritorious students and winners of academic, sports, and cultural competitions from various departments were honored with certificates and cash awards by the Chief Guest, along with the Principal and Director, in the presence of their parents.
