MVGR Students Shine at National Hackathon, Bag ₹1 Lakh Prize at AVISKAAR Season-2 concluded on 30th Dec 2025
In an outstanding display of innovation and technical prowess, a team of four third-year students from MVGR College, Team Four Bytes, secured the Runner-Up position at the AVISKAAR Season-2 Hackathon held at Aditya Institute of Technology and Management (AITAM), Tekkali. The event, powered by GeeksforGeeks, aimed to tackle real-time challenges in India’s rural and urban communities across sectors like digital empowerment, agriculture, healthcare, education, and sustainability.
The 48-hour national-level hackathon, which commenced on 28th December 2024, witnessed the participation of 51 teams from 19 states, showcasing innovative solutions to pressing societal issues.
The Winning Idea: 'Rush To Go'
Team Four Bytes addressed a critical issue in last-minute ticket bookings for movies and buses, focusing on the problems surrounding refunds and cancellation policies. Their innovative solution proposed a standalone platform to resell canceled tickets at a lower price, thus minimizing losses for users and ensuring greater convenience. The team's idea garnered widespread appreciation from judges for its practicality and potential impact.

Their relentless efforts and exceptional performance were recognized with a cash prize of ₹1,00,000, handed over by the Chief Guest Mr. Manoj Kumar Agarwal, along with Dr. K. Someswara Rao, Chairman of AITAM, and Prof. V.V. Nageswara Rao, Director of AITEM.
